Jose qualified as a dentist in Madrid in 2005, starting work in his home town of La Coruña on the North-West coast of Spain.
While completing his degree he was awarded with a Diploma of Internal Student of Medical Orofacial Pathology, which saw him lecture in both national and international congresses. Also whilst studying, he volunteered to take part in a project which took him to Nicaragua. The project ‘Dentists Without Borders’ aims to provide free dental care to as many less privileged people around the world; working on the ethos that everybody deserves to have access to dental care.
After finishing his degree he went to Cuba on a course in oral surgery, getting experience in surgical extractions and dental implants.
Jose moved to United Kingdom in July 2006, working in NHS and private practices in Cardiff, Plymouth and Ashburton. Since then he has studied different postgraduate courses to deliver high quality dental treatment in dental implants, periodontology and oral surgery, gaining a Diploma in Oral Surgery (Centro Medico Teknon, Barcelona 2007), a Certificate in Implant Dentistry (University of Seville 2007) and a Masters Degree in Dental Implants and Periodontology (University of Alcala, Madrid 2013).
Jose met his wonderful wife in Plymouth, and has since been enjoying the lifestyle in the South West of England. He spends much of his free time with his three children, and when he does find a spare minute, he keep active enjoying swimming, cycling and playing basketball with close friends.
